Who We Are

Tim Frost - owner of Peregrine Design/Build
Owner
Tim Frost

Tim received a Bachelor of Science degree in Small Business Management and Natural Resources from the University of Vermont and has worked in the homebuilding industry as the owner of Peregrine Design/Build for over thirty years. Tim was involved with Homebuilders and Remodelers Association of Northern Vermont. He has served as President of the association, Chair of its Green Council - where he earned Certified Green Professional designation - and was the Chair of its Remodelers Council.

Tim truly enjoys building lasting relationships and working on a personal level with his team of employees and clients. He continues to attend national level building conferences to keep current with market trends and learn from other successful leaders in the industry. “What I like the most about this business is the relationships you build with your clients. It is so satisfying to hear from them that you have had an impact on the way they live in and experience their homes. That is so rewarding”.

Most days you can find his bike or skis strapped to his car, ready for an outdoor adventure after work. He enjoys traveling with his wife, Mellissa and daughter Francesca.

Cliff Deetjen

Cliff graduated with a B.A. from Hobart College and received his Masters of Architecture degree from the University of Maryland. He and his wife, Kim, also in the interior design profession, lived in Boston where he worked with the large architectural firm Shepley Bulfinch. Enjoying the urban lifestyle, but a desire to move to "greener pastures", they chose the beautiful Champlain Valley to raise a family in 1998. With two older sons now and always a family dog underfoot, Cliff loves living in close to Burlington and enjoying all that the city has to offer. When not working around the house or involved in the gardens, Cliff can be found traveling and exploring architecture in other regions, or knee-deep in a river, and always with a fly rod in his hand.

Cliff's passion and interest in design stems from the huge appreciation of how the details come together in the field. He loves exploring with the Peregrine Team of craftsmen, how traditional methods and materials can be heightened to new levels, in a contemporary setting. Cliff has been with Peregrine since 2008 and looks forward to every project with enthusiasm and creating long lasting relationships with our clients.
