I knew, when I first started thinking about a major kitchen remodel, that my 1860's brick farmhouse would present an interesting set of challenges. Peregrine Design Build was my first choice for this project, and after our first concept/design meeting, I was 100% happy with my decision. From the very first design sketches I started to get excited. The design incorporated a huge opening through an existing 2 foot brick wall in to my dining room, as well as adding a new window through the exterior brick wall to let the western light flood in. These 2 ideas tripled the kitchens sense of space! I have no skills when it comes to picking fit and finish, and thankfully I didn't need them. From the Caribbean pine floors, to the soapstone counters, to the paint color choices, I was blown away. The construction crew was absolutely first class and a pleasure to interface with...and the workspace was left neat and tidy every night, which made it easy for me to go in and watch the progress! I can't recommend the Peregrine team strongly enough. I don't care what kind of day I've had...walking in to my kitchen, once home, never ceases to put a smile on my face!
Our second project with Peregrine was a complete kitchen redesign and renovation including moving doorways, new floors throughout most of our downstairs, and the addition of a beautiful new glassed-in porch adjacent to a patio/pergola to replace an aging deck. The design that they proposed included changing the uses of an underutilized living room into a spacious dining room, a too-small dining room into a large office and workout space, and a rearrangement of the kitchen into a perfect space to cook and entertain. As was our experience in 2020, their professionalism, design sense, quality, and communication made the project the amazing finished product it is. We are beyond thrilled with the spaces they created and look forward to our next project and continuing to update this review until the rest of our house looks as nice as the spaces they've already touched.
We really enjoyed working with Jillian and Lee throughout the entire process. We appreciated the way that Jillian listened to us early in the design process and provided guidance, while also taking our ideas seriously. Throughout the planning and design, we felt that we could trust Jillian to respond to our questions and take care in addressing all of our concerns.
We were also really impressed with Lee and his team. One of my concerns as we got into the project was making sure that our home would be safe for our 1 year old daughter. Lee listened to this and took extra care to make sure that our living space was completely child safe and blocked off from the work zone. We really appreciated this extra care in making sure that the home was as child safe as it could be. Throughout the project, Lee and his team were both professional and friendly.
One additional thing to note is that early on in our process, we interviewed several firms to discuss our proposed project. We chose Peregrine because we were impressed with the professionalism Jillian and Griffin showed at our house during our initial meetings. This quality stood out among the competition, and we are very happy that we chose Peregrine for this project.
We are completing our third renovation project with Peregrine Design/Build, and we are very happy with the results. We know that Peregrine does quality work and stands behind everything they do. This project was a complete redesign of our outdated kitchen, powder room and laundry room, adding a mud room with a new entrance and a huge window to provide a view of our wooded landscape. It involved removing an interior wall, boarding up the old window and entrance, gutting our kitchen and bathroom. We have new wood and slate floors, maple cabinets galore, and soapstone countertops. The designer and lead carpenter helped us make decisions and we appreciated their guidance. The entire team is conscientious, precise and respectful. Our new space is gorgeous! We are already thinking about Peregrine project #4!
We used Peregrine to design and build our custom lake front home and we could not have been happier. They are consummate professionals and their thoughtful approach to the design/build process made it so easy for us. Our beautiful new home is well-designed, well built and is truly our dream home. If we were ever to build another home or remodel one, they would be our one and only call.
Peregrine Design Build did an entire first floor renovation of our house, including kitchen, dining, living room, powder room, laundry/mudroom. The thing that impressed us the most was the exceptional communication between us and all involved on the project. We truly appreciated the weekly meeting on site to answer questions or to address any problems that arose.

We relied heavily on both the Design and Build services of Peregrine for the complete renovation of our kitchen and master bath. They also replaced all interior doors and wood floors, added fresh paint throughout the condo's 1400 sq. feet, upgraded the electrical panel, rebuilt a hallway to accommodate a new washer/dryer, and replaced our outside decking. The artistry of Peregrine's design suggestions, the resourcefulness of the options they provided as we worked towards our budget goals, and the quality and precision of their build and installation work continue to impress friends and neighbors. The staff are a dream to work with. They listened carefully to our preferences, they were sensitive and accommodating to the stresses of living with renovations while staying on their schedule. Even after the job was done (on time!), they checked in to answer any questions. We couldn't recommend Peregrine more heartedly!
I've had Peregrine do several remodeling projects for me in my home and they were wonderful: respectful, neat, on time and with incredible attention to detail. Our project manager was always available to me and always dealt with my concerns immediately. When my partner and I decided to build a high tech medical office I really wanted to find a company with those qualities so I asked them about commercial builders with a similar philosophy and they were interested in working with us.
Peregrine did not disappoint: our office was technically very difficult (special laboratories and air requirements etc.) but they finished on time and even helped us bring the budget to a place where we could manage it. The office is absolutely beautiful - every patient and vendor who walks in the door comments that it's one of the most spectacular physician practices they've ever seen. And when we have questions or small issues that we need help with they respond immediately. We loved every minute of working with them - the project manager was able to make suggestions that were really helpful - things that we're noticing now that we hadn't thought of in the building phase; we had weekly meetings with to review issues and they always provided a great summary of what had been done and what needed addressing. We would love to work with them again and offer our highest recommendation.
Peregrine Design/Build transformed our aging house into a low-maintenance energy efficient beautiful home. They were attentive, professional, and competent throughout, and their commitment to quality construction from infrastructure to finishes was always evident, as was their focus on customer satisfaction. They finished the job on-budget and given that there were add-ons, within the time frame we expected. If we have more work to do, we will certainly use Peregrine again.
Right from the start we were impressed with the how the architect and the interior designer translated our sometimes specific and sometimes vague ideas into creative, attractive components of the new design. They guided our focus and efforts so that the overwhelming phase of selections and decision-making was manageable. The end-result is a home that works well, feels good, and is interesting and beautiful.
The lead carpenter and construction crew were equally impressive. Attention-to-detail and hard work were constants throughout the job. The surprises and challenges typical in re-build construction were handled in stride. Any questions or concerns we had were met with helpful information and thoughtful, cooperative solutions.
